Frankly speaking, Japan was not my first dream, but after one year studying and living in the country, I felt it was really one of the best chances in my life. I not only get more knowledge that is an essential and solid foundation for my work and further study in the future, but I also have chance to meet many excellent foreign friends and experience cross-culture activities

Extremely being proud to gain JDS - one of the most prestigious scholarships awarded by Japanese Government, to Kyushu University (4th ranking of the best Universities in Japan), I have taken advantages to further studies under the inspirational instruction of the renowned professors, work in the international environment, experience practical knowledge from the field trips, connect with Japanese friends and various-nationalities friends in the world. Besides, I love enjoying fresh air, fantastic Japanese cuisine and sightseeing of Kyushu Island. Predominantly, JDS-ers always maintain the well-caring from JICE offices’ solicitude and excellently support from strong connection among the JDS-ers’ community.

Being a JDS fellow is definitely an important milestone in my life. I have a precious chance to not only experience a beautifully different culture but also integrate into a diverse academic environment. I am able to learn and study with many renowned professors coming from different legal systems, specializing in various fields and mastering distinct teaching methods, which on one side gives me the freedom to choose which suits me best and the other side opens my mind to brand-new ideas and knowledge. When I told my guiding professor that this scholarship literally brought me to a whole new world, he warmly replied that he hoped this scholarship would also help me realize I can achieve many things as long as I did not stop exerting myself. And that was when I realized not the knowledge and skills but the encouragements and inspirations were the biggest rewards I would receive from my beloved professors during my time in Japan.

Studying abroad has always been my big dream since I was a student. Going to a new country, experiencing the very new culture and living habits as well as developing my knowledge and capability through a study course should be a once-in-a-life-time experience for me. That being said, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to JDS for giving me the opportunity to make my dream come true. It was a pleasure and pride to be a student of the Graduated school of Law, Nagoya University where many of my colleagues have studied. Nearly 2 years of living in Japan has taught me a lot for the development of my own self. I have learnt how to be more independent, more mature in the terms of knowledge and more adaptable to the situation. I had a lot of interesting experiences about Japanese culture and also had a great opportunity to expand international network through JICE social activities. Having a perfect chance to obtain valuable knowledge from outstanding professors in Public management and Policy analysis program (PMPP) is a great experience for me can develop my career after finishing a couple of years Master course in Japan under JDS scholarship. In PMPP, I have learned not only knowledge related to Public management, Public administration, Political science, but also the related economic topics. After finishing PMPP, all students can utilize their advanced knowledge to evaluate public policy by using quantitative as well as qualitative methods. Additionally, students have a great opportunity to enhance their expertise through the theoretical course as well as practical field trips in many Japanese governmental agencies. PMPP program is appropriate for potential candidates from all Vietnamese public organizations.
